"Institute has helped me learn a lot more about playing the violin better and how to play with other people. My favorite part is meeting new friends and music teachers who help us grow. I like seeing the recitals at the end of each day because it's fun to cheer on your friends and see what everyone else is learning too!" - Olivia B.
"I'm so grateful we have had the opportunity to participate in the Institute over the last few years. It's amazing to me how much is accomplished in such a short amount of time - it's like a month's worth of lessons in one week! The classes are engaging in such a way that each lesson meets the kids where they are, yet challenges them to try new things. I have yet to see a child that didn't feel encouraged by their instructor to rise to that challenge. We have seen incredible growth in Olivia each year as a result of attending the Institute, and I imagine other parents would say the same. It's a perfect antidote to the summer slump. A week at Institute is time well spent!" - Jennifer (Olivia's Mom)
"The teachers were nice and it was easy to make friends because we all played instruments together. I liked playing my violin and singing and dancing with the other kids." - Eliza F.
"The Institute was a warm and inclusive space, and the experience was both fun and well designed for learning. The teachers were pros and effectively balanced meaningful individual feedback, group practices, and time for the kids to learn through singing, dancing, and getting their wiggles out. I was impressed with how quickly even the youngest children were giving each other support and feedback. The Institute was a great way to connect to a broader community and would be a worthwhile experience for any family who loves music." - Stacey (Eliza's Mom)
"I was able to go to the NC Suzuki Institute this past summer for the first time. I received a partial scholarship, and I raised the rest of the money by having a lemonade stand. My violin instructor brought up the idea of me going, and I was interested because I wanted to improve.
I really liked that the instructors there talked to me in a way that I could understand. It was hard to choose a favorite class because they were all so good, but I really liked Orchestra. Going to the Institute really helped me work on important things I needed to focus on like where to place my fingers just right. I made new friends there, too, and they are nice! It's cool to have friends I can play the violin with." - Ben S. & Kasey (Ben's Mom)
"We attended the Pre-Twinkle Camp, and it was truly a lovely experience for my daughter. From the very beginning, the teachers were so welcoming and approachable, and it was clear how much care and thought went into each session. She loved watching other children at a similar level play the violin, and it helped her realize that everyone has their own challenges as they learn. She came home feeling more confident and genuinely excited to keep practicing, learning, and growing with her violin. We would highly recommend this camp to anyone with a young budding violinist!" - Aveera S. & Saranya (Aveera's Mom)
