Event Proposals

We at the NCSA want to come alongside you as you plan your event! Our desire is to offer various events throughout the state to support and inspire our students, teachers, and parents. We want to hear your vision and see how we can best partner with you. Depending on your needs, we have two event “packages” to offer:

Option 1:
NCSA Role- We will advertise for you, send out scheduled communications, cover liability insurance, and offer scholarships. We will be your cheerleader, and work to support you.

Organizer Role- This gives the greatest level of flexibility to the planner. You run it, create the schedule, hire clinicians, take care of any building rentals, etc. You, as the event planner (or your local partnering organization), handle all money transactions.

Option 2:
NCSA Role- We will partner with you in all the ways listed in Option 1 (advertising, liability insurance, scholarships, etc), AND any money flow can also go through us. Participants can register through our website, send money through our PayPal account (we would cover any extra fees), and we will take care of any money transactions. The NCSA is happy to support or give guidance as is helpful. (Please find here our recommended timeline of events, as well as anticipated expenses to consider.)

Organizer Role- The event organizer will still be able to run the event, hire clinicians, create schedules, secure venues, etc. If doing a larger event like a workshop or play-in, etc, we highly advise having local help, such as teachers or parents who can also assist, as the NCSA cannot handle all logistics needed. Since the NCSA is overseeing all financial transactions, the event organizer will also submit proposed budgets, and have various check-ins along the way, to make sure everything is on track to have a successful event.
For workshops, it should be decided ahead of time if teachers are going to be paid, or working as volunteers. If they are going to be paid, the set “NCSA event teacher pay rate” is $50/hour.

Since the NCSA is overseeing all financial transactions, in the event that there is a surplus, and teacher pay has already been set, any extra money would roll into the NCSA scholarship fund to use for future events. In the event that teachers were volunteering, surplus could be given in the form of gift cards to thank teachers, if desired.

NCSA event organizer honorarium – $100.
(Given the larger responsibility this places upon the NCSA, we can only commit to 2 events using Option 2 throughout the year, and they must be spaced at least two months apart.)
